The Woodburn Birthday Book Club!
Celebrate a birthday. Give a book. Build our library.
The Woodburn Birthday Book Club is a special way to celebrate your child’s birthday while supporting the Woodburn Library. Your child gets to choose a special book in their honor, and that book becomes part of our school library for all Woodburn students to enjoy for years to come.
HOW IT WORKS
- Join the Birthday Book Club each school year with a $20 contribution.
- Choose a special book. On or near your student’s birthday, they’ll have the opportunity to select a book from the Birthday Book Box.
- We make it personal! Your child will receive a personalized nameplate inside the book recognizing their birthday and contribution.
- Share the gift. Your student gets the first opportunity to check out their book. After that, the book becomes part of the Woodburn Library collection for all students to enjoy.
*Summer birthdays: Students with summer birthdays can choose their book around their half-birthday.
WHERE YOUR CONTRIBUTION GOES
All Birthday Book Club funds help purchase new books and the materials needed to add them to our library collection. This includes:
- Library-bound and library-ready books
- Hardcover books, when available
- Personalized nameplates
- Spine covers
- Materials needed to prepare books that aren't available library-ready
You may also choose to make an additional contribution to help provide Birthday Book Club scholarships for families who would like to participate.
