Woodburn PAWS
Who We Are
The Parents Association of Woodburn Students (PAWS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) committed to supporting the students, staff, and families of Woodburn Elementary School.
PAWS is an inclusive, volunteer-run organization led by an elected Board of Directors. Every parent or legal guardian of a currently enrolled Woodburn Elementary student is automatically a PAWS member—there are no membership fees or dues to join!
As a member, you're encouraged to attend General Membership Meetings, share your ideas, vote on important decisions, and get involved in ways that fit your schedule. Whether you volunteer at an event, serve on a committee, or simply attend a meeting, your participation helps strengthen our school community.
(See our Equity and Inclusion Statement and a list of helpful resources here.)
MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of PAWS is to improve the educational experience at Woodburn Elementary School by supporting select school programs, while also fostering positive relationships and a spirit of community between school staff and Woodburn families.
We also enrich Woodburn education through legacy purchases. These legacy investments are intended to have a lasting impact on current and future students. Examples include our playground buddy bench, a new PA system for the PE instructor, Lego robotics kits, and outdoor learning & natural play areas.
